Mike Shaffer graduated from Brandeis University cum laude in 1987 and from Columbia University School of Law in 1994, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar.

Mike's practice areas at Winner & Associates include commercial transactions, corporate/LLC formation and implementation, trademark acquisition and defense, estate planning, and family law. Mike clerked in 2002-2003 for the Honorable Morgan B. Christen on the Alaska Superior Court in Anchorage. Prior to that time he practiced as an estate planning attorney in Anchorage. Mike was admitted to the Alaska Bar in 2000 and the Massachusetts Bar in 1994.

From 2001-2003 Mike served as a director of the Anchorage Bar Association and also co-chaired the annual statewide High School Mock Trial Competition.

Mike's personal interests include golf, softball, movies, crosswords, chess, and professional sports.
